Educational project: Psychomotor skills

The importance of movement in the evolutionary development of the child during the first years of life is essential. On their own they begin to discover the world around them through movement. Our activities related to psychomotor skills are carefully designed for each level:

  • At P0 we focus on activities that allow them to discover parts of their body such as arms and legs. The spatial notion that children are experiencing allows them to make their first movements. For this reason, the environment is meticulously cared for to make it attractive and encourage curiosity and initiative in movement.

  • In P1 The children begin the start of the march. Through our gross motor activities we offer them the security they need to continue perfecting their movements, without forgetting exercises that stimulate strength or balance. The psychomotor circuits are designed so that they experience the possibilities that their body offers them in everything related to movement, in this way they increasingly feel more curiosity and need for movement.

  • In P2 Moment in which the gait is completely defined, our psychomotor project focuses on the circuits that we carry out in the psychomotor room. They are designed so that children discover new motor and spatial learning, getting to know their body schema better. Stimulating the direction of walking, improving balance, jumping, coordination, posture, etc., through circuits and free exploration.
